What the best hedge funds own, from their own SEC filings
WhaleCreep reads every 13F filing from 139 hedge funds and concentrated managers, and turns them into one board: who holds what, who just bought, where the crowd is, and how concentrated each book really is. Latest quarter on file: Q2 2026.
Consensus new positions, Q2 2026
Names that two or more managers opened this quarter at a meaningful weight of their own book. Simultaneous initiations carry more information than consensus holdings, which are mostly index names.
Most crowded names
Held by the most concentrated managers at ≥1% of their book. Diversified multi-strategy books are excluded here so that a name is crowded because people chose it, not because a quant fund owns the index.

What a 13F can and cannot tell you
Form 13F is a quarterly snapshot of an institutional manager's long positions in US-listed equities, filed with the SEC within 45 days of quarter-end. It leaves out short positions, most derivatives, cash, leverage and non-US holdings, so it cannot tell you what a fund returned, and WhaleCreep never pretends otherwise. What it can tell you, reliably, is what a manager chose to own, how much of the book each name is, whether they bought or sold since last quarter, and whether several managers made the same call at once. How the numbers are made.
